Digital reconstruction and deciphering of the decorative program of the architectural and cultural masterpiece of Ancient Egyptian funerary art
Very soon, on June 2, the reconstruction project of the tomb of Queen Nefertari, wife of Ramses the Great, will be 10 years old. In connection with this, not afraid of this word - a grand event, I want to invite you to an amazing journey... first of all, 10 years back, where you will learn how it all began, how this project became and developed. Then we will dive into the world of information technology. I will tell you what tools, how the images and texts of the tomb were restored, and how the virtual tour is created. We will go to Ancient Egypt for dessert, the biggest and sweetest. I will tell about my observations and discoveries, share my hypotheses, and find answers to the questions and riddles left to us by the architects of Ancient Egypt, the builders of Nefertari's tomb.
