The tomb of NEFERTARI

Digital reconstruction and deciphering of the decorative program of the architectural and cultural masterpiece of Ancient Egyptian funerary art

June 2 will be the anniversary of the project - Ten Years - the days and the years fly by... So, I think to hold in Moscow a meeting of the project participants and all those interested. To make a formal and informal lecture-discussion. With someone to remember where and how it all began, for someone will be a lot of interesting and unexpected from the history of the project. Since it is a big day for the project of reconstruction of Nefertari's tomb, the meeting should be big, interesting, and most importantly interactive and informative. From experience, I can say that one hour or even two hours is not enough. This project covers many areas: history, philology, and reconstruction of texts, Egyptology in general, computer graphics, in particular: 3D modeling, retouching and digital restoration, and programming - one could talk about each of them for hours.

Summarizing the above, I want to ask you this: how much would you be interested in listening to all this and participating in the discussion on a Saturday summer afternoon (June 7 or 14)? My heart feels like it would be about 3-4 hours with a break for coffee and cookies. If there are any other ideas for the meeting, especially about the place and its organization, I will be glad, please write to me, do not hesitate!
